“The mess of life is filled with delightful mysteries and frustrating predicaments, indescribable joy and heart-wrenching suffering. The mess is here to stay. It’s unavoidable. It’s just life. It’s what we do with the mess that determines everything. Life is messy, but we figure things out. We laugh, we cry, we grow, and we move on to new beginnings, second chances, and amazing possibilities.”

(Matthew Kelly)

Like a lotus flower, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of darkness, and radiate into the world. We can do more than survive; we can thrive!

  • Grief is raw and gut-wrenching, and many find it hard to navigate their journey through grief. I help clients process their emotions related to the loss of their loved ones, help them navigate the grieving process, and support them as they eventually move toward acceptance and their new reality.

  • Life transitions counseling with people who have experienced changes such as relocation, divorce, a new career, the end of a relationship, etc., is focused on acceptance, adjustment, and action. Clients are guided in processing their emotions, and taught - coping skills, how to manage their thought patterns, and are supported in making goals to navigate their new identity or reality.

  • Aging concerns addressed in counseling, focuses on adjusting to new situations and settings, coping with anxiety, assisting with maintenance of independence, creating new social connections, identifying new tasks that need to be undertaken, and collaborating with family and other social support systems.

  • Relationship and sexuality counseling is available to individuals and couples to help them heal, and achieve the relationship and sexual satisfaction they desire and deserve. Concerns addressed in counseling include: pre-marital counseling, couple’s conflict, sexual shame, infidelity, and sexual desire issues.
